RITUAL CARNAGE: The Tale Of The Missing Bonus Tracks
August 18, 2002Japan's RITUAL CARNAGE have issued the following statement regarding the "missing" bonus tracks on the "limited digi-pack" CD version of their latest album, The Birth Of Tragedy, which was issued through Osmose Productions a couple of months back:
"As many of you [who] purchased the so-called 'limited digi-pack CD' unfortunately found out, the two bonus tracks [are] missing. I still get e-mails nearly every day concerning this major fuck-up. We were told by the record company that everyone with the mis-pressed CD could exchange the CD for the correct pressing at the place where the purchase was made. Seems like the remedy for this problem is nothing less than chaotic. To make things easier (at least temporarily),we decided to make the bonus tracks available via MP3. The bonus tracks are TOTALLY KILLER! We want to make the tracks available to everyone who was robbed when they purchased the digi-pack. 'Dialogue Of Bullets' is a killer all-out thrash attack. Lyrically, the song deals with Al Qaeda's terrorist manifesto. 'Evil Will Avenge' has that 'Succumb to the Beast' feel from our first album. The song really showcases Eddie and Wataru's lead guitar work. Man, these guys just rip up the frets on this song. Of all the songs we recorded to date, the lead guitar work on this song is PHENOMENAL!!!"
